What to Expect

When you walk through the doors at The Family Place, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly staff who are here to help you feel at home. Whether you're joining us for a scheduled program or dropping in for Open Play, we’ll ask you to check in at the front entryway. This helps us keep track of attendance and ensures we’re providing the best experience for every family.

Once you’ve checked in, you’re free to explore our playrooms and engage in activities with your child. Please remember that parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising their children at all times during your visit. Our play spaces are designed to be safe and engaging environments where you can connect, learn, and play together.

Yes, you are welcome to bring snacks for your child. We just ask that you keep all food and drinks in designated areas to maintain a clean and safe play space for everyone.

Can we go out on the playgrounds?

We understand that children sometimes need a moment to rest or recharge. Feel free to step into one of our quieter areas or let a staff member know how we can help make your visit more comfortable.

Can I leave my child in the playroom while I run an errand?

No, The Family Place is not a daycare center. Parents and caregivers must stay on-site and supervise their children at all times. However, you’re welcome to coordinate with another parent to take turns supervising each other’s children, similar to a parent co-op arrangement. Just be sure that at least one responsible adult is always present to ensure everyone's safety and our staff are notified who is responsible for your child(ren).

We look forward to seeing you at The Family Place, where families grow, connect, and thrive together!

" A wonderful place for children to play safely, has some groups. I'm new to the area, but they are so great and have great resources."
